A profile of Alfred Archer
by Dave Liverman

Player:AG Archer

A competent wicket-keeper who made occasional appearances for the MCC, Worcestershire and Shropshire, Alfred Archer toured South Africa with Lord Hawke's team in 1898/99, and played a single Test - batting number 10, and not keeping wicket or bowling. He made a useful 24* in the second innings, the highlight of an otherwise undistinguished career.
