Chris Gayle's magnificent all-round performance

Chris Gayle, with his career-best performance of five for 46, followed by 60 off 68 balls against Australia in the seventh and final Limited-Overs International at St.George's, Grenada on June 1, 2003, became the second West Indian all-rounder after Vivian Richards and the eleventh in the world to post a 50-plus and to claim 5 or more wickets in the same match.

Vivian Richards is the only one to post a hundred as well as to capture 5 wickets in the same match in the history of Limited-Overs Internationals, having accomplished the feat against New Zealand at Dunedin in 1986-87.

Incidentally, Chris Gayle is the only one amongst the eleven all-rounders to have achieved the feat of 50-plus runs + five wickets in the same match against Australia.
