Keith Jarrett had a fine record as a cricketer and rugby player, initially at Monmouth School, and his success for the Welsh public school, saw the right handed batsman and seam bowler play twice for Glamorgan in 1967.
 
However, he went on to win greater fame on the rugby pitch, playing at first for Newport RFC and winning 10 Welsh rugby caps between 1967 and 1969. He also toured South Africa win the British Lions in 1968 and played for London Welsh, before turning professional and playing for Barrow, Widnes and the Great Britain rugby league team.
