David James had a fine record in League cricket, playing for both Briton Ferry Town and Briton Ferry Steel.

 

The all-rounder was very proud of having played in Glamorgan`s Championship winning side of 1948. He made his first-class debut at Trent Bridge against Nottinghamshire, but despite much success in the Leagues, this proved to be his only appearance at first-class level.
