Brief profile of Gwyn Davies
by Dr.A.K.Hignell
Gwyn Davies had a successful career in club cricket for Cardiff. Like many of his generation, some of his best years were lost to the Second World War, but even so, the right-handed batsman and bowler played twice for Glamorgan, both times against Lancashire – at Cardiff Arms Park in 1947, and in 1948 at Rodney Parade, Newport.
