Brief profile of Harry Carr

Harry Carr was the son of the newspaper magnet Sir Emsley Carr, and made one appearance for Glamorgan, against Cambridge Univeristy in 1934. He had previously appeared in first-class cricket for H.D.G.Leveson-Gower`s XI after coming down from Trinity Hall, Cambridge.

 

Whilst up at Cambridge, Carr also won Blues for billiards and golf, and after graduating he worked as a journalist on his father`s newspaper “The News of the World.”
