David Blackmore was one of Swansea C.C.`s leading batsman during the 1930`s. In 1934 he made his only first-class appearance, playing against Somerset on his home ground at St.Helen`s. The right-hander made 34, but this proved to be his only game in Glamorgan`s colours.

In 1944 Blackmore appeared for the West of England in their wartime friendly against Glamorgan.
