SHADWELL, Francis Bradby.
Amateur.
Born at Barnes, Surrey, 4th May 1851.
Died at Old Windsor, Berkshire, 9th February 1915.
The son of G.A.F. Shadwell, of Butler’s Cross, near Tring, Hertfordshire, He was educated at Uppingham, where he was a member of the cricket eleven in 1868. He played in three first-class matches 1880-81, including one for Surrey in 1880. In 1894 he was living at West Stower, Gillingham, Dorset.
No trace of him could be found in the 1881 Census, but his father George Augustice F. Shadwell, aged 54, born at Southsea, Hampshire, a retired assistant India officer, London, was at Butlers Cross, Ellesborough, Buckingham, with three domestic servants.
