SKINNER, Edward Alfred.
Professional.
Born at Mitcham, Surrey, 18th January 1847.
Died at Brighton, Sussex, 10th February 1919.
His first engagement as a professional cricket was with the Wimbledon Club 1866-70. From 1874 to 1876 he was at the Clapton Club and in 1877 at the Leeds Clarence Club in Yorkshire. He played for Surrey in just three matches 1871-81.
At the time of the 1881 Census he was living at 170 St. Georges Road, Camberwell, Surrey, aged 34, a porter at a hop merchants, with his wife Louisa, aged 35, born in Devon, and four children, Edward Elliott, aged 7, William Henry, aged 6, Annie Louisa, aged 3 and Percy John, aged 15 months.
