Swashbuckling left-hander Yuvraj Singh was on Friday named vice-captain of the Indian team. He replaced Virender Sehwag who had to return midway after his shoulder injury failed to heal.
 
The 27-year-old, who is known for the record of hitting six sixes in an over in the last edition of the ICC World T20 in South Africa, was handed coveted position hours before India's first Super Eight match against West Indies at the Lord's. 
"In the absence of Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh has been named as vice captain for the ongoing ICC World Twenty20 in England", BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan said in a statement.LATEST SCORES
