The India Pakistan clash was not only a belter on the ground, the cricket fans from both the countries took the battle off it as well.

The scurity staff had a tough time controlling the fans during the high-voltage Champions Trophy clash.

Long before Pakistan won the clash against India at the SuperSport Park in Centurion on Sunday night, fans made sure that security staff had their hands full.

The situation began getting out of hand as the match progressed and the security staff had to intervene on several occasions to control emotional fans who began engaging in fisticuffs.

The stadium staff did not tolerate nonsense though as all potential trouble-makers were removed from the ground.

And then the final assault took place when the match ended. Pakistani fans invaded the field with their flags in a show of ecstasy after the match ended in their favour.

They were quickly chased off and some were even brought down with rugby-style tackles as they refused to leave the field.
