2015 profile
Dean Cosker was a member of the Glamorgan side which won the County Championship in 1997, with the left-arm spinner claiming the final wicket of the Welsh county’s campaign as they defeated Somerset at Taunton to clinch their third Championship title.

He has also tasted much success in limited-overs cricket with Dean being a member of the Glamorgan side which played in the Benson and Hedges Cup final at Lord’s in 2000 against Gloucestershire, besides being a key figure in the Glamorgan Dragons side which won the National League title in both 2002 and 2004. In particular, Dean formed an outstanding partnership with off-spinner Robert Croft, as the Glamorgan “spin twins” tied down and frustrated opposing batsmen.

Dean has also been an outstanding fielder, especially at backward point, as well as being a useful lower-order batsman, with all of these skills being recognised by the England selectors who selected the left-arm spinner for under-19 tours as well as appearances for England A on tours to East Africa, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

He first played for Glamorgan in 1996, shortly after leaving Millfield School, and he now has over 500 first-class wickets to his name.
