Rishton have signed South African Matt Hulett as their professional for the 2014 Fosters Lancashire League season.

 

Matt is 22 years old, a right-hand bat and right-arm leg spin bowler. He currently has an average of 37.56 with a highest score of 124, in addition to this he has another century to his name and 10 more scores of over 50 in 24 First Class matches. His One Day form is also very good with two centuries and two 50s in that form of cricket.

 

Although at this time his bowling is not often used at First Class Level he bowls very decent leg-spin and it would certainly be an asset at League level. He is very highly rated and is expected to play Franchise Cricket more regularly very soon.

 

Hulett will be Rishton's 11th South African Professional.
