Colne have signed South African all rounder Shaun Von Berg as professional for the 2015 season.

 

Colne Cricket Manager Gary Hunt said: "Shaun has a strong First-class record with both bat and ball and an excellent attitude and work ethic which will help our young side to develop further both on and off the field."

 

The 28 year-old averages 30.1 with the bat from 60 First-class matches since his debut in 2009, totalling 2345 runs with three centuries and twelve fifties. Von Berg's leg spin has accounted for 216 victims at 26.7 with a best of 7-66. Von Berg plays for Northerns and Titans alongside Lowerhouse professional Cobus Pienaar.

 

He will be Colne's eighth South African professional.
