Burnley's record breaking opening batsman Vishal Tripathi is leaving the club to join Liverpool and District Competition side Bootle.

Vishal was an integral part of the all conquering Burnley side in 2015, breaking Jon Harvey's club amateur batting record with 1138 runs at 47.4 with three centuries and six half centuries. In all matches he hit a staggering 1988 runs at 58.5 with five centuries and 14 half centuries. Vishal was also Man of the match in the 2015 and 2016 Fosters Worsley Cup Final wins.
In 2016 Vishal was the league's leading run scorer for the fourth time, hitting 955 runs at 63.9 with one century and eight half centuries, narrowly missing out on becoming the first amateur ever to break the 1,000 runs in a season barrier twice. He also hit a brilliant 95 in Burnley's LCB Cup win over the holders Bootle in a classic encounter at the My Protein Turf Moor.LATEST SCORES
