Makhaya Ntini has every reason to smile as the South African fast bowler claimed both the coveted Mutual & Federal South African Cricketer of the Year Award and Castle Test Cricketer of the Year Award on Sunday. Ntini, who was nominated in five of the SA International categories, has won both for the second consecutive year.

At a star-studded third annual Mutual & Federal SA Cricket Awards function held in Johannesburg, Ntini was presented with the prestigious award for his consistent performance in international matches.

Seasoned all-rounder Shaun Pollock bagged the Standard Bank One-Day International Cricketer of the Year Award, while Johan van der Wath, who made his dream debut during the Australian tour, was named SA Newcomer of the Year.

Last year's newcomer award winner AB de Villiers was voted SuperSport Fans Cricketer of the Year.

Under-19 skipper Dean Elgar and teen sensation Johmari Logtenberg were named Coca-Cola Cricketer of the Year and Women's Cricketer of the Year award respectively.
