England's lowest one-day score for two-and-a-half years sent them
crashing to the bottom of the Commonwealth Bank Series table but Andrew
Flintoff has urged the batsmen to be brave in the aftermath.
New Zealand dismantled England for a sorry 120 at the Adelaide Oval,
the venue of Friday's next contest against hosts Australia.
More than a dozen overs were left unused as a lack of confidence in
mind and method prevailed throughout the team.
Yet after the 90-run defeat, stand-in captain Flintoff, reviewing a
seventh reverse in as many attempts as leader on this tour, said: "I
would not say there was a sense of dread. When you are chasing and you
lose quick wickets, it is going to make it harder."
