ICC announces umpires and match referee appointments for upcoming Test and ODI series

The ICC today announced details of the umpire and match referee appointments for upcoming Test and ODI series in Bangladesh and England.

 

Bangladesh will play India in a three-ODI and two-Test series from 10 May until 29 May. Asoka de Silva of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires will stand with local appointments in each of the three ODIs on 10 and 12 May in Mirpir, Dhaka, and 15 May in Chittagong.

 

Daryl Harper and Billy Doctrove of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires have been appointed to stand in both Tests which run from 18 to 22 May in Chittagong and 25 to 29 May in Mirpir.

 

The entire series (ODIs and Tests) will be overseen by Roshan Mahanama of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees.

 

In England, the hosts will play West Indies in a four-Test series from 17 May until 19 June. The first two Tests, 17 to 21 May at Lord’s and 25 to 29 May at Headingley, will be umpired by Rudi Koertzen and Asad Rauf of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.

 

The third and fourth Tests, 7 to 11 June at Old Trafford and 15 to 19 June at Chester-le-Street, Durham will be umpired by Billy Bowden and Aleem Dar also of the Emirates Elite Panel.

 

The entire Test series will be overseen by Alan Hurst of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees.

 

The three-match ODI series between England and West Indies at Lord’s (1 July), Edgbaston (4 July) and Trent Bridge (7 July) will be umpired by Brian Jerling of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires. He will be joined by local appointments. All three ODIs will be overseen by Mike Procter of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees.

 

Appointments for other upcoming fixtures including the ICC Intercontinental Cup final between Ireland and Canada at Grace Road, Leicester 22-25 May, the proposed three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi (18, 20 and 22 May) and the Afro-Asian Cup series in India (5-10 June) will be announced in due course.
