Tom Maynard is the son of Glamorgan legend Matthew Maynard, and like his illustrious father, he made an audacious debut for Glamorgan, scoring 71 at Colwyn Bay for Glamorgan against Gloucestershire in a one-day game in 2007.

The right-handed batsman attended schools in the Cardiff area, and also Millfield, in addition to winning honours with England age-group teams.
