Third ODI between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe tomorrow
by CricketArchive Staff Reporter

Event:Sri Lanka in Zimbabwe 2008/09

DateLine: 23rd November 2008

With Sri Lanka already taking a 2-0 lead in the series it is just a matter of time before a whitewash is completed. After two crushing defeats in the first two ODI'S, Zimbabwe seem to be struggling to come to terms with the opposition. The gap between Zimbabwe and international sides are increasing. And with the record that Sri Lanka have against the minnows and the combination of Mendis and Murali can prove a handful for the Zimbabwe team

Zimbabwe on the other hand will aim to play 50 overs and come up with a decent score to put up a fight.Sri Lanka have been fragile with their batting and if only Zimbabwe have a target of playing 50 overs and come up with a competitive score they can put pressure on the Sri Lankans. Tatenda Taibu will be the key for them around whom the players will play.

The local crowd will hope for a good competitive match and thereby an upset so as to keep the series alive. But the visitors will not be satisfied with anything less than a whitewash.
