2013 profile
John Glover made his first-class debut for Durham MCCU in 2008 whilst studying at the University. The following summer the accurate seam bowler from took 5/38 against Durham – a performance which led to him having a trial with Glamorgan and subsequently a place on the Welsh county’s playing staff. John made his Championship debut for Glamorgan in 2011 taking 4/49 against Kent at Canterbury, whilst in 2012 he showed his prowess with the bat, posting a match-winning innings against Northamptonshire, besides making a career-best 55 against Kent at the SWALEC Stadium as he shared a partnership with Jim Allenby which laid the foundations of a Glamorgan victory.
