2013 profile
Michael Hogan joins the Welsh county for the start of the 2013 season. The 31 year-old, who will play for Glamorgan for a minimum of two seasons, has made a stellar rise in Australian cricket which has seen the right-arm pace bowler progress from club cricket in New South Wales to a place in the Western Australian state side.
Michael was a latecomer to first-class cricket with his debut in 2009 coming after a phone call from Western Australia’s selectors who invited for a trial during after them whilst playing club cricket in New South Wales. Michael duly enjoyed a highly successful opening season in the Sheffield Shield, and wickets have followed at regular intervals in the past three seasons, with the right-armer notching up his 100th first-class wicket in the second innings of Western Australia’s match in 2011/12 against Tasmania.
