Biography: | His given name at birth was Edward Smyth but in 1796 name changed legally to Edward Smijth. In 1839 his name was legally changed to Edward Bowyer-Smijth by Royal Licence. He was later still shown as Smyth. He succeeded as 10th Baronet Smith of Hill Hall in December 1838. |
