"Five of Hampshire were run out (including Scott twice). In Britcher's score book, this is stated to have been the last grand match played at Bishopsbourne, near Canterbury, the seat of Sir Horace Mann; but another match appears to have come off here next year between East and West Kent."
The match on 7 Sept 1790 between Mann's XI and Amherst's XI was in fact the last at Bishopsbourne Paddock.
