Match notes
Play in the match commenced at 11.52 a.m. and Queensland Colts achieved victory at 5.15 p.m. The match was late in starting due to overnight rain and was reduced from a fifty over contest to forty-four overs a side. The Tasmanian batsmen found the opening bowlers difficult to get away, Spence in particular. When the Queensland Colts batted conditions had improved considerably and runs came much easier than for the Tasmanians.
