--> Bowling in the Lord Harris' XI first innings adds 2 runs over
Our thanks to Arthur Haygarth for collecting the information and to Roger Heavens for providing this scorecard which was first published in Arthur Haygarth's Cricket Scores and Biographies Volume 16. Copies of the book can be obtained from http://booksoncricket.net . Additions or corrections to this scorecard would be gratefully received. The 18 went in first. This was only a one day match. A.J. Webbe and F. Mackinnon stayed behind at Hobart Town, the former in company with R.D. Walker making a trip to the salmon ponds at New Norfolk, but did not have a bite. Trains in Tasmania did not run on Sunday, but a "special" bought the team from Hobart Town to Launceston on Sunday afternoon. Leaving Launceston on the 14th on the "Southern Cross" the team went back to Melbourne where they divided, four of them, Messrs Penn, Hone, Absolom and Mackinnon, travelling to Sydney by sea, and the remainder overland by rail.
