--> Boston Cricket Club batted on after winning

The match was played on one of the worst wickets ever seen in Boston. Many balls leapt off a length passed over the batsmen hands and sometimes cleared the wicketkeepers head and the bowling analysis shows this up markedly. S.J.Devlin got one such ball and in an endeavour to avoid being hit in the face fended the ball off and was given out handled ball.
