Worcestershire won this return game by an innings, at 1.15 pm on the second day, thus completing the double over Hertfordshire having also won when the two sides met at Watford in July. For the winners, E G Bromley-Martin took 10 wickets in the match for 89 runs. There were 12 fours in Arnold's 96, an innings of just under three hours, and he also took 8 wickets for 76 runs.
