Glamorgan won by 241 runs on the second day. Having just about held their own on first innings, Cornwall collapsed in their second innings for 25 runs, after being set a victory target of 267. The visitor's second innings total of 25 was the lowest of the season. For the winners, Lambert took 11 wickets in the match for 45 runs and S Lowe 9 for 36. Bancroft scored 71 and Letcher 57. For Cornwall Hide took 14 wickets for 149 runs, which was statistically the third best match bowling performance of the season. In the Glamorgan second innings Michell was hurt keeping wicket and Coad took his place behind the stumps on the second day. In the same innings, R Lowe retiredhurt on the evening of the first day with his score on 33, and resumed his innings on the second day. Cornwall were making their debut in a championship match, but by playing just two matches -- home and away versus Glamorgan -- did not qualify for the Championship table.
