Oxfordshire won by five wickets at 3.15 pm on the second day. For the winners, Bassett scored 65 with 7 fours and Smith 62 with 10 fours. They put on 110 runs for the third wicket in the Oxfordshire first innings, which was the third highest partnership for that wicket during the season. For Berkshire, Dauglish top-scored with 31. For the second year in a row, Oxfordshire did not qualify for the Championship table, arranging only six county matches, but these matches counted as championship fixtures for their opponents.
[Missing: Part fall of wickets; in Berkshire 2nd inns part batting order.]
