This return match was drawn after the Berkshire declaration set Buckinghamshire a victory target of 210 runs in 95 minutes.
The visitors had scored 100 after 60 minutes, but with the dismissal of Ford for 59, scored in an hour, and Maul, they gave up the run-chase. For Buckinghamshire, Ford's 59 included 1 six and 11 fours and Bird's 73 not out contained 12 fours. In the home side's second innings Ford and Bird put on 100 runs for the third wicket. Wright took 14 wickets in the match for 116 runs, which was statistically the best bowling performance of the season. His 88.4 overs and 48 maidens in the game were also season highest totals. For Berkshire, L G A Collins played two innings of 77 and 79, the latter including 1 five and 10 fours.
There were 7 fours in Ingram's 55. In the Berkshire first innings, L G A Collins and Ingram added 102 runs for the fourth wicket, which was the third highest partnership for that wicket during the season. Berkshire were deprived of the services of Barrett in the visitors' second innings due to injury. The initial match between the two teams earlier in the month at Aylesbury had also been drawn.
