This card comes from the Minor Counties Research Project - research is continuing on this scorecard which can be expected to change.
This return match was drawn with no decision on first innings. The match between the two sides at Sunderland in July had been won by Northamptonshire. There was under four hours play on the second day, after the first day had been rained off. For Durham, there were 2 fours in J F Whitwell's 55. For the home team, H E Kingston top-scored with 39 which included 2 fours. When dismissing Coulson, Thompson took his one-hundredth wicket of the season. It was the second season running that he had achieved the feat.
