Wiltshire won this match by eight wickets at 1.20 pm on the second day. For the winners, Smith took 9 wickets in the match for 95 runs. Smart top scored in the game with 38 which included 5 fours. For the losers, Brain's 34 contained 6 fours. On the first day, the start of play was delayed by quarter of an hour until 11.45 am as one of the umpires had not arrived on the ground. He did not appear until shortly before luncheon and a deputy took his place. Gate money for the match was 5.
