Wiltshire won this return match by an innings at 3.05 pm on the second day. When the two teams had met at Trowbridge in July, the game had been drawn. For the winners, Newman scored 93 with 13 fours and Perkins 64. In the Wiltshire innings Newman and Perkins added 134 runs for the fourth wicket.
