Devon won this return match by 34 runs on the second day, after Glamorgan in their second innings had required 217 runs for victory. When the teams had met at Swansea in July, Glamorgan were the winners. For the winners, Barnes, the debutant, took five wickets for 41 in the Glamorgan second innings. There were 6 fours in Cruwys's 49. For the losers, Nash took 11 wickets in the game for 139 runs, including 7 for 69 in the Devon second innings. There were 7 fours in H G Moore-Gwyn's 63. The match was for the benefit of Aston and over £20 was collected during the two days.
