Durham won by 154 runs on the second day. For the winners, Proud's 103, scored in 110 minutes, included 14 fours. 2 threes and 7 twos. There were 12 fours in Turnbull's 97. In the Durham first innings Stoner and Morris added 73 runs for the ninth wicket. In the second innings, Turnbull and Proud put on 178 runs for the seventh wicket. For the losers, Hare's 114 not out, an innings of 2 hours and 20 minutes, included 1 six, 14 fours, 4 threes and 3 twos and Wilson's 59 7 fours. In the Yorkshire 2nd XI first innings, Hare and Brown put on 54 runs for the last wicket. Booth took 10 wickets in the match for 161 runs, including 7 for 58 in the Durham first innings.
