Drawn return match with Suffolk winning on first innings. Cambridgeshire had followed on 157 runs behind on first innings. The match between the two sides at Bury St Edmunds earlier in the month had been won by Suffolk. For the visitors, there were 35 fours, 3 threes and 16 twos in Ireland's 221, scored in 160 minutes, and 16 fours in Mustard's 100, an innings of 80 minutes. Ireland's 221was the second highest individual score of the season. Bassett scored 54. Suffolk's 516-6 declared was the second highest score of the season. In the Suffolk innings, Ireland and H L Wilson added 148 runs for the fourth wicket and Ireland and Mustard 193 for the fifth. For the home side, Swann-Mason's 127 contained 10 fours, 6 threes and 16 twos and his innings lasted 4¾ hours. There were 7 fours in Roberson's 50, Hayhoe scored 52 and L J Reid 50 not out. The 65 extras conceded in the Cambridgeshire first innings were the highest of the season.
