Glamorgan won this return match by 92 runs at 4.50 pm on the second day, after Surrey had required 206 runs in their second innings to win. The match between the two sides at Guildford in July had also been won by Glamorgan. The gate on the first day of £45 was easily a record for a two-day county match in South Wales. For the winners, Maxwell scored 108 containing 4 sixes and 9 fours. Bancroft's 60 included 2 sixes and 4 fours. Hacker took 8 wickets in the match for 54 runs, including 7 for 24 in the Surrey second innings. Nash took 8 wickets for 75 runs. For the losers, Jewell scored 74, Goatly 55 and Campbell 51. A collection for Maxweel yielded £3.
