Berkshire won this return match on the second day. Berkshire had also won the match when the sides met at Aylesbury in July. For the winners, Shoosmith scored 125, Bennett 62 and Capt E F Rowe 57 not out. For the losers Kent top-scored with 59. This was Berkshire's eighth consecutive win. The 532 runs scored on the first day were the third highest during the season.
