Glamorgan won this return match by an innings and 3 runs at 2.25pm on the second day. The match between the two sides at Swansea in July had been won by Glamorgan. For Glamorgan Riches's 167 not out included 1 five and 26 fours and Bancroft's 75 included 8 fours. This pair added 169 for the second wicket. In Monmouthshire's second innings there were 1 five and 11 fours in E S Philips's 65. He and Giles added 104 for the seventh wicket. Maxwell ended the innings with two wickets in two balls.
