Dorset won this return match on the first innings, having lost outright to the same opponents the previous week. There was no play after lunch on the first day due to rain. Owing to the sodden state of the wicket a fresh pitch was prepared on the second day. For Dorset, Bolton's 90, which was the only half-century of the match, contained 4 fours. Conde-Williams's innings of 34 not out was the highest for Devon. Fishwick took 5 wickets for 36 runs, including a spell of 5 wickets for 7 runs, in Dorset's first innings whilst Busk took 5 wickets for 44 runs in Devon's innings.
[Missing: Umpires; in Dorset second innings who bowled the wide.]
