Bucks strove for an outright win to gain a place in the Gillette Cup. Ironically, had they taken first innings
points they would have qualified. Bucks were set a target of 255 in 172 minutes and fell well short.
Gardner's 70 contained 7 x 4; Atkins hit 10 x 4 in his 78, Hawkins 1 x 6 and 5 x 4 in his 62; Bell hit 9 x 4 in
his 83, Day 6 x 4 in his 75* and Clough 1 x 6 and 5 x 4 in his 57*; Lever's 55 included 5 x 4, Atkins' 63 4 x 4.
