Western Australia Second XI second innings
A very closely fought game ended at 5.33 p.m. on the third day in a tie though for much of the afternoon it seemed Queensland Second XI would have a comfortable victory, particularly when Spencer was eighth out at 154 with the deficit on 95. Hart then joined Lindsay and 87 runs were added for the ninth wicket. Two bowlers stood out in the match, Allen who captured ten wickets for Western Australia Second XI while Warden of Queensland Second XI, fresh from his triumphs in the National Country Championships, captured nine in his first match for the Queensland Second XI.
