Day 1 Play commenced at 3 pm owing to overnight rain. Caley dislocated his finger catching TR Ward, Kevin Brooks (ex Derbyshire) acted as substitute for the rest of the innings. Day 2 The start of play was delayed until 1.50 pm Rain stopped play at 2.59 pm and was abandoned for the day at 5 pm Day 3 The 8th wicket partnership of 124 by Swallow and King was an MCCA Championship record for Suffolk beating the 100 by RV Howard (104) and JE Rumball (23) at Fenners in 1937 Play was abandoned at 4.49 pm after a third stoppage for rain.
