• The fifth wicket partnership of 21 runs between Misbah-ul-Haq and Shoaib Malik was Pakistan’s best for this wicket against Kenya. The pair obliterated the 16 run-partnership between Younis Khan and Abdur Razzaq at Nairobi (Gym) on 29-08-2002.
• The sixth wicket partnership of 72 runs between Shoaib Malik and Rashid Latif was Pakistan’s best for this wicket against Kenya beating the 63 run-stand between Salim Malik and Moin Khan at Nairobi (Aga) on 02-10-1996.
• The seventh wicket partnership of 43 runs between 43 runs between Shoaib Malik and Naved-ul-Hasan was Pakistan’s best for this wicket against Kenya. This expunged the previous record stand of 37 (unbeaten) between Inzamam-ul-Haq and Rashid Latif at Nairobi (Gym) on 29-08-2002.
• The 53-run partnership between Maurice Odumbe and Hitesh Modi was Kenya’s best for the sixth wicket against Pakistan. The previous record stand for Kenya against Pakistan was a paltry 16 between Kennedy Obuya and Tony Suji at Nairobi (Gym) on 01-09-2002.
• Mohammad Sami’s figures of 4 for 25 are the best for Pakistan against Kenya. He bettered Abdur Razzaq’s 4 for 35 at Nairobi (Gym) on 29-08-2002.
• This was Sami’s best figures in ODIs bettering the previous best of 4 for 41 against Zimbabwe at Harare on 30-11-2002.
• The four dismissals by Rashid Latif were the maximum by a Pakistani ‘keeper against Kenya. No other has taken more than two.
• Shoaib Malik won Man of the Match award for the third time in his career.
