Bertie Perkins had a good record as a batsman in club cricket for Swansea, and in 1925 he played in two first-class matches for Glamorgan.

The right-handed batsman then emigrated to Malaysia where he went into business, but he returned to South Wales on holiday in May and June 1933, and re-appeared in four matches for Glamorgan.
