Harry Jones first played for Glamorgan as a brisk right arm seam bowler in their wartime friendlies between 1943 and 1945, then in 1946 he appeared in Glamorgan`s Championship fixtures with Essex at Chelmsford and Worcestershire at Ebbw Vale.

 

Jones had a fine record as an opening bowler in League cricket for Llangennech, Dafen, Llanelli and Pontardulais.
