TROLLOPE, William Stapleton.
Amateur.
Born at South Lambeth, London, 31st July 1854.
Died at Bellevue, Southampton, Hampshire, 20th September 1895.
The third son of George Francis Trollope, of Parliament Square, London, a surveyor, he was educated at Westminster School, where he was a member of the cricket eleven in 1871. He first played for Surrey in 1877 and then in 1881-82, playing for them in seven first-class matches in all. He was admitted as a solicitor in April 1878 and practised in Parliament Street, Westminster. In 1888 he was living at Elmfield, Streatham, Surrey.
At the time of the 1881 Census he was living at Elenfield (sic), Leigham Court Road, Streatham, Surrey, with his father, George F., a widower aged 63 born Westminster, a surveyor, and his unmarried sister, Maria E. aged 33. He was unmarried, aged 26, a solicitor. He had three younger unmarried brothers still living at home, John L. aged 25, an architect, Henry C. aged 21, a land surveyor, and Andrew H. aged 20, an undergraduate at Oxford. There were five domestic servants.
