Lancashire 1869
Born 4.11.1849 Chorley Hall, Liverpool.
Died 22.10.1920 Pevensey, Eastbourne, Sussex.
 
The son of T.Carlisle of Dawpool, Birkenhead. He was educated at Harrow where he was a member of the Football Eleven 1866-67. 
His club cricket was with Birkenhead Park, but in 1869 he played two matches for Lancashire during the visit to London. In the first, at The Oval, againt the M.C.C. at Lord's, he opened the innings and scored 12 (his side's top score) and 0. A couple of days later, on 22nd and 23rd July he scored 18 and 7 in the match against Surrey at The Oval. That was the sum total of his first-class cricket. 
Between 1876 and 1878 he played on four occasions for Cheshire, scoring 57 runs in his six innings. Two of his brothers also played for Cheshire. Samuel, his twin, played in eight matches 1873-74 and Harold his younger brother in two matches in 1874 and 1878. Both were educated at Harrow and Harold was in the cricket Eleven in 1871. 
Frederick became a South American Merchant and his address in 1911 was in Buenos Aires. 
At the time of his death his residence was at Woodhall, Sunningdale. 
He died at Castle Mount, Carlisle Road, Eastbourne, Sussex.
