Kaneria's Perfect Ten
Essex Head Coach Graham Gooch has hailed leg-spinner Danish Kaneria's match-winning performance for Pakistan against Sri Lanka.
Kaneria won the man of the match award in Karachi for bowling figures of 23-3-72-3 and 60-20-118-7 as his side won by six wickets to level the two-Test series.
The 23-year-old shone during his first season with Essex and has signed a new two-year contract at the County Ground to take him up to the end of the 2006 campaign.
Gooch commented after the bowler's latest heroics: "Danish shows a great appetite and enthusiasm for bowling - reflected by his sixty overs in the second innings of this Test.
"Someone who plays like that deserves success. I've just sent him a text message to congratulate him on his efforts and we look forward to him repeating this form with us next year."
